KKLN-FM 94.1 THE LOON TO BROADCAST NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES RACES

WILLMAR, MN – JANUARY 8, 2008 – KKLN-FM 94.1 The Loon and parent company Headwaters Media, LLC today announced an agreement to broadcast the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (formerly the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series) provided by MRN, The Voice of NASCAR, and PRN, the Performance Racing Network.  Beginning Saturday, February 9th, KKLN-FM 94.1 The Loon will broadcast all of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races live, in addition to carrying daily and weekly programming dedicated to NASCAR.  The following weekend KKLN-FM will broadcast the 50th anniversary of the Daytona 500 on Sunday on February 17th, 2008.

KKLN-FM 94.1 The Loon will also be carrying daily NASCAR updates from MRN, The Voice of NASCAR and PRN, the Performance Racing Network, and a weekly hour long racing show on Saturday mornings at 6 a.m., the Alltel Pit Reporters.  KKLN-FM continues to monitor local race tracks and racers as well, with a weekly and weekday program featuring Jeff Isdahl and Lane Roberts.  Talking with local racers and race tracks and keeping pace with the latest results across the state, Isdahl and Roberts will feed the “need for speed” among local race enthusiasts each weekday and break down the drama and racing situation across West Central Minnesota each Saturday morning for a full hour of “Rock and Race Talk”.
